Description

A rare and exceptional English Victorian spirit barrel made by the top-notch silversmith, John Grinsell & Son (cupid with bow and arrow mark in a shield).

The heavy crystal is quite spectacular with fine and intricate deep cutting, which sparkles, most unusual to find one of these barrels in cut crystal. The glass is surmounted with a silver plated collar and cork with straps wrapping and affixing the glass to the silver plated stand.

At one end there is a tap with a removable drip bucket which is gilded to the interior.

Stunning in every way, excellent undamaged condition. Measures 9" in length to end of tap x 9" tall to top of cork.
