Antique Victorian Mahogany Writing Table

Description

A charming and very useful original antique Victorian writing table in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880’s.

It is a great size and is beautifully finished on all sides, so can be used as a free standing item. The inset leather top has been hand coloured and gold tooled. This sits on beautifully turned legs terminating in porcelain casters, the original handles are also nicely turned from solid mahogany.

This is a top quality item. Please enlarge the images of the dovetails on the drawers, because they are incredibly long.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is very good for its age, with no damage to be seen and just normal wear commensurate for age.
