Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The quality is fantastic and this has a very clever design. The top swivels and unfolds to reveal a green baize playing surface. There is also a small storage compartment beneath the top that is revealed when the top is spun.
The various woods are inlaid in stunning patterns, there is king wood, walnut and satin wood. There are also high quality brass ormolu mounts on the top edge, corners and lower frieze.
We have had this recently re-polished, it is in very good condition for its age.
