The bronze is signed R Kuchler and has a foundry seal. A decorative and charming figure. Rudolph Kuchler (1867-1946) was born in Vienna and died in Berlin. Küchler studied at the Vienna Art Academy from 1883 to 1890 and then worked in Berlin and Hamburg. He was commissioned to design commemorative medals for the First World War by Julius Menadier.
