Fine Old Sheffield Plated Tea Set C1830

19th century
Description

A fine Old Sheffield Plated tea set dating to c1830, bearing no makers mark. Ornately decorated to the body with blank cartouches. Beautiful cast rims and highly decorative handles. The milk jug and sugar bowl are visibly seamed with original gilded interiors. The tea pot has a visible internal seam.

The condition is very good with only minor age related wear, slight copper bleed to the decorated areas and one small ding to the body of the milk jug. Good strong handles.

Total weight approx 1.6kg

Tea Pot - height approx 18cm. Span approx 27cm

Sugar Bowl - height approx 11cm. Span approx 22cm

Milk Jug - height approx 11cm. Span approx 14cm
