Description

A pretty Derby porcelain scent bottle and stopper with a rich mazarine blue ground and finely painted vignette of a rustic building set on some rocks beside a lake below some sheer cliffs in a country landscape. Rich gilt decoration framing the scene and edging the rim and stopper. Red mark to base, c.1815.

It measures 12.7cm (5") high and 6.5cm (2 1/2") wide.

Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. Minor wear to the gilt on the stopper and rim; no discernible wear to the enamel or gilt further down.
