Description

A quality English ebonised bracket clock. Applied brass decoration and recessed front panels. Side sound fretwork and handles. Brass bun feet. A convex cast bezel and dial with fine blued steel hands. A twin fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell.

Richard Dawes of Southampton is recorded in Loomes' 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' book as working from 1830-1848.
