Pinefinders has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
It is dated 1829 suggesting that this was the date it was painted, and given as a wedding gift.
The panelled are painted with very pretty floral images and have the original lock and key which is fully working. This particular armoire has a very attractive large cornice top.
Inside at the bottom is a shelf above a single drawer which has the original ring pull handle, all sitting on bun feet to the front and rear.
We will fit a new brass hanging rail or alternatively we cold fit some shelves inside if you wanted to use it as a cupboard.
