Description

A splendid French mahogany glazed bookcase in the Directoire style. Of very good construction in solid mahogany and mahogany veneers onto a solid oak carcas. The bookcase is decorated throughout with inset brass work (moldings and flutings) which is very attractive to the eye. The single glazed door (lockable, key supplied) opens to access a display space with 3 adjustable shelves and an internal drawer (also lockable). The drawer front and the inside of the glazed door are finished with attractive birds-eye maple veneers. Beneath the glazed door is a further drawer. This bookcase offers a very generous amount of storage/display space. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops, It is now offered for sale in excellent original condition with a great colour and patina.
