Description

A handsome pair of mid 19thc lead crystal rummers or wine glasses. Of substantial size and weight, the wide bowls are cut with regular but large lobe shapes up to about a inch under the rim. The bowls stand on chamfered stems flowing down from the lobes, each on a plain foot with pontil mark underneath. Each glass weighs approx 400grams and holds a half pint or 300ml of liquid. A very good glass of wine is to be had from these rummers! They feel great in the hand too.
