~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A large and stunning original antique French gilt bronze clock set by Japy Frères. The clock is of waisted shape, formed of 'C' scrolls and acanthus. Below the dial is a panel of musical trophies and a pair of birds, symbolic of love. To the top is an elaborate swirling, intertwined finial of leaves and floral swags.
They are complete with original snuffers that sit in the central nozzle as finials when not in use. The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with pretty floral swags between the numerals and original finely fretted gilt hands. The rear door is also glazed to allow the movement to be seen.

The French movement is by Japy Frères and is of high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in good condition, there is an area of hairlines and cracking around the two and three o'clock areas. Candelabra are slightly distorted.
