A 17th Century Oak Box Settle. C.1680 and Later.

Description

A really good looking Box Settle with a fantastic colour and patina, the back support with two open panels each with turned baluster supports above 3 long carved "S" scroll panels and 5 smaller fielded panels, one of which has the initials IL and dated 1686.

The scrolling arm rests supported by short turned supports. the hinged box base above a panelled frieze and sides.

The seat has a removeable made to measure upholstered pad.

The dimensions are 163 cms by 49 cms by 122 cms.
