1904 Antique Waltham Duke Pocket Watch

1904 antique Waltham Duke pocket watch.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement, Duke grade, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 13,516,698 dates it back to 1904. The movement is protected by an inner cover which is engraved with the date Dec 1908. This inner cover has a scratch where a tool has probably slipped in the past.

The watch is a little smaller than a standard 50mm diameter pocket watch at 46mm diameter (but larger than a ladies 40mm fob watch). The case is gold filled and was made in England by the Dennison Watch Case Company. Dennisons supplied most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition, just light surface marks. The hinged case back has beautifully engraved initials although a little worn with age.

The lens has minor marks, nothing serious at all.

The dial has its original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are a few hairline cracks radiating from the centre.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
