Mid-century Silver Hand Mirror by Broadway & Co, Birmingham 1955

Description

This stylish Mid-Century engine-turned sterling silver hand mirror was made in Birmingham in 1955 by Broadway & Co. Of serpentine form, the back with exquisite floral engravings on an engine-turned background. The front fitted with the original bevelled mirror. The long handle with elegant pointed terminal.

Hallmarks:

B&Co for Broadway & Co

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "F" for 1955.

Condition:

Average to good.

The bevelled glass is in great shape with minor spots.

The back with some creasing as seen in the pictures, condition reflected in the price.

The silver handle in equally good condition.

Dimensions:

Length: 28 cm / 12 inches.

Maximum Width: 9cm / 3.4 inches.

Mirror: 13cm x 8cm / 5 x 3.2 inches.
