Antique Regency Mahogany Secretaire Chest of Drawers C1820

Antique Regency Mahogany Secretaire Chest of Drawers and dating from around 1820. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a reader edge to the top above a wide crossbanded frieze with wide satinwood inlaid stringing. There is a deep moulded drawer front which opens to reveal a lovely secretaire interior with pigeon holes to the centre with shaped frieze and flanked on either side by a a small compartmental door and with various short and long drawers all of which are oak lined with brass handles. This is above three graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with brass handles. It is raised on splayed bracket feet joined by a shaped frieze.

MEASURES: 47” HIGH X 20” DEEP X 42” WIDE

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
