Spectacular Oriental Hall Seat

1900 - 1920
Description

A spectacular Oriental black And red lacquer high back hall seat. The back having a wonderful deep carved and shaped top with entwined dragons above a further 2 panels of relief carved dragons. The conforming arm rests having open mouthed dragons with styled pearls. The seat lifts to reveal a useful storage area and below is a carved frieze centred with a dog of foo and flanked by mythical winged carved supports. Condition- very good. Dimensions:- Height…52’’/ 132cm. Seat Height…17.75’’/ 45cm. Width…61.25’’/ 155.5cm. Depth…23’’/ 58.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £65.
