Description

A magnificent antique Victorian walnut and marquetry pier cabinet / bookcase with lockable single glazed door. In beautifully figured walnut with marquetry inlaid decoration, with gilt ormolu mounts to the top and bottom corners and brass trim around the top. It comes with a working lock and key and to the interior there are 2 shelves which are lined. The top is wonderfully figured and it stands on ebonised turned feet. Overall it is in good condition with beautiful patina and age. Would work well as a music cabinet or as a bookcase. Dating from circa 1880.
