The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
Gents 9ct gold Longines wrist watch, 1945.
The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the fixed lugs, it would suit a slimmer gent’s wrist or would work nicely as a larger watch for a lady. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1946, with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison. The Dennison Watch Case Company manufactured cases for various watch makers. Often the movements were imported from Switzerland to be cased in the UK, thus avoiding import duties on precious metals. The front and sides of the case are in good condition. There is some unevenness to the case back.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial has Breguet style hands with a blued steel finish, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is a little spider of short hairline cracks between 12 and 1 but they are faint.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
