This is a large antique blanket coffer. An English, oak chest or window seat with Gothic revival taste, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

Pleasingly presented in the Gothic manner and of great proportion

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

Select oak shows fine grain interest throughout

Rich caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish

Generous in width, ideally suited as a window seat

Three panel lid opens to reveal the two chamber interior

Inset lock beneath the lid edge — untested, key absent

Field panel carvings adorn the front fascia with alternating pattern

Raised upon four square legs with tapering plinth feet
