Antique 18th Century Carved Oak Coffer

An attractive and well-proportioned antique 18th century carved oak coffer or blanket box. The carved oak coffer has a hinged lid with original iron hinges that opens to reveal a spacious interior. The coffer has a decorative three panel front with intricate carved detail. Raised on stile feet.

Height – 53cm / Width – 112cm / Depth – 50cm

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and staining to the top (pictured). The carved oak coffer remains structurally solid and sound. Due to the original hinges, there is movement to the lid which is quite loose when open. Evidence of old historic wood worm in places – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution.

In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered and a collection fee of £85 will apply, this would be deducted from any refund amount.
