A substantial antique Georgian silver two handle cup/ loving cup was made by Thomas Wallis 1st and hallmarked in London 1782.
It is in very good condition with no repair but for accuracy just one very small ding but hardly noticeable.
It is of inverted bell shape and it stands firmly on a raised circular base. The handles are substantial of S shape scroll and one of them bears inscribed initials, the other blank. Apart from the band decoration to the body there is no further decoration or engravings. Hallmarks are clearly struck.
A fine Georgian silver cup from a well respected maker.
