Antique 19th Century Carved Oak Settle

An attractive and well-proportioned 19th century antique carved oak settle. The oak settle has a decorative panelled back rest with a rope-twist top and intricate carved detail. The hinged seat opens to reveal a spacious storage space below. There is further decorative carving to the two panel front. Raised on block feet.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and fading to the seat and arms (pictured). The antique oak settle remains structurally solid and sound. Some evidence of old historic wood worm to the back – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Overall, a particularly charming example and of good proportions.

In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered and a collection fee of £85 will apply, this would be deducted from any refund amount.
