Description

Here is a charming Victorian walnut writing box with brass corners and brass bound fittings.

In wonderful condition and a good colour , the leather has been replaced, the brass toped ink wells are original and in perfect condition.

These desks are sometimes known as lap or traveling desks.

There is the usual secret compartment under the ink wells for jewelry etc.

A very good example for the box collectors, and a good investment piece.

It is 16 inches wide by 10 inches deep by 7 inches tall.

I can ship worldwide, I will need your address for shipping costs.

Circa 1870.
