Pair of Louis Xvi Style Salon Sofas C.1930.

Description

Very elegant pair of Louis XVI style salon sofas c.1930. Slim walnut frames with crisp carved detail and pale grey paint finish. Unusual design with curving backs and swept arms over oval seats. Raised on turned and tapering legs with reeded and fluted detail. Webbed seats with loose feather filled cushions. Backs and arms (front and rear) and cushions upholstered in a patterned red velvet chenille. Wear to the paintwork which is rubbed through in places to reveal the timber below. Otherwise very good condition with clean and serviceable covers.
