A stunning late 19th century French bronze sculpture of two tigers. Titled Les Deux Tigres. Signed by the French artist E.Drouot and with the Paris foundry stamp.

This bronze sculpture is in very good condition with a lovely rich patination.

Edouard Drouot 3rd April 1859 - Paris 1945

Born in Sommevoire on the 3rd of April 1859. He started a successful career as a painter then studied sculpture under the renowed Mathurin Moreau at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and with Emile Thomas.

In 1882 he made his debut at the Paris Salons winning various awards.

His work was part of the sculpture event in the Art competition at the 1924 summer olympics.

His works are always of very quality with great attention to detail.
