Description

A fine quality French boulle tortoishell mantel clock. Red ground with brass boulle inlay. A front panel and to the sides with red backing. Gilt bronze case mounts and surmounted by an torch urn finial. An enamel dial with individual enamel numeral cartouches and 5 minute markers and blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell engraved by makers 'Richard & Co, Paris'. Numbered pendulum and mechanism. Circa 1895.
