Antique Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Table

Description

An excellent antique early Victorian mahogany writing table, made in England & dating from around the 1840-1860’s period.

It is a great size and is extremely well made. The inset leather top has been hand coloured and gold tooled. There are panelled sides, beautifully turned solid mahogany handles and legs. The drawers have fine hand cut dovetailed joints and still have the original blue paper lining inside.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.

Depth – 19 inches , 48 cm

Height – 30 inches , 76 cm

Knee height – 23 inches , 58 cm
