Antique 18th Century Period Country Oak Dresser C1780

Antique 18th Century Period Country Oak Dresser and dating from around the time of George 111 c1780. Constructed from quality oak it has a moulded cornice top with dental moulding and carved frieze above three graduating shelves with fine stringing to the front. To each side there are two small compartments above an inlaid door with brass escutcheon and wide crossbanded mahogany frame with fine stringing and with two internal shelves. Beneath the door there is a small spice drawer which is pine lined with brass handle and with a mahogany and finely strung edge. The base has a wide mahogany crossbanded edge with fine stringing above a central inlaid door with mahogany and finely strung edge and with an internal shelf. This is flanked on either side by two drawers which are pine lined with brass handles and escutcheons and wide mahogany crossbanded edges with fine stringing and above a shaped frieze. It is raised on cabriole legs on a pad foot. The top removes for ease of transporting.
