Description

An attractive early 20th century antique beech smoker’s bow chair or gentleman’s tub chair. The smoker’s bow chair has a shaped back rest with slat or lathe uprights and shaped, open arms. The seat has been upholstered in a leather fabric with studded detail. The chair is raised on four turned legs with decorative turned stretcher supports.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks to the wooden frame and some minor marks to the leather seat (pictured). The seat appears to have been recently recovered and remains in good condition. The smoker’s bow chair remains structurally solid and sound with good tight joints.
