Description

'Yastik' is the Turkish word for pillow cover, so this small rug was actually originally made to be used as a cushion on the divan. However, as it is made exactly like a rug, with warp and weft, and hand-knotted pile, it certainly can be used as a rug. This lovely example is over 100 years old and is decent condition- good pile with some small repairs. Great for any small corner in the house or over an armchair, sofa or even a small table.
