Fine Victorian Burr Walnut pop-up Davenport.
Piano Lid shape fall , opens to Reveal: two drawer interior,
Pull-out slide with Adjustable ratchet writing slope, &
side compartment to hold pens & ink bottle ;
pull-out inside drawer on top pull button , to release pop -up compartment.
with 3 drawers & pigeon holes, brass gallery on top,
All supported by pair carved Cabriole shaped legs,
Panelled front & back,
R/H side 4 mahogany lined drawers,
L/H side 4 dummy drawers, top two with dowels, to remove.
to get to the weight & pulleys for the pop up compartment.
