Poirot Art Deco has dated this piece to the 1900s.
Later he went on to study at the Paris Academy of Arts with technical guidance from Mathurina Moreauder.
He exhibited in Krakow, Warsaw, Vienna and the Salon in Paris.
At the 1900 World Fair he won a bronze medal and received an Honourable mention in 1883.
He was familiar and influenced at the time by the founder of modern sculpture, Rodin.
Today his work is collected throughout the world. He often portrayed genre figures of everyday life and his later work contains elements of the Art Deco style.
