Description

Early 18th.c. six plank chest or coffer c.1700. Could be used as a hall seat with storage or at the end of a bed perhaps. Elm top with iron hinges and latch. Chest made from five thick solid oak boards held wooden pegs. Iron lockplate to the front and and simple ogee pointed arch detail to the sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
