Unusual 19th C. French Palais Royal Uranium Glass Scent Bottle, Circa 1880

Description

This is a gorgeous and very unusual 19th Century French ormulu -mounted green opaline glass scent bottle. The square shaped uranium glass body with elaborate ormulu shoulders. The conforming bronze dore hinged lid inset with a blue ceramic cabochon decorated with a spray of flowers. Opens to reveal the original clear glass stopper.

Dimensions:

Height: 8cm / 3 inches.

Base : 4cm x 4cm / 1.4 inches x 1.4 inches.

Condition:

Good.

Glass and ormulu mounts in very good condition.

Ceramic cabochon with a barely visible hairline crack.
