Description

An interesting walking stick cane made from African hardwood, probably ebony, which is intricately carved with seven native figures climbing a palm tree trunk, each one holding a different implement or weapon, or fruit or nut, in one hand. The background to the figures is the palm tree trunk with a myriad of triangular shapes reflecting previously cut leaves. The two highest figures seem to be the most intricate and large - one carrying a large spearlike implement, the other a large flat leaf or fruit. Whatever, it is a pretty stunning and impressive walking stick! The tip is base metal.
