Empire Style Brass Mounted Mahogany Daybed C.1900.

Description

Brass mounted mahogany Empire style chaise logue or daybed c.1900. Identical design to both sides meaning it can be positioned with the back rest to either the left or right hand side. Mahogany frame with padded backrest and sprung seat (height 15?) upholstered in a green Regency stripe. Good quality Empire style brass mounts to the backrest sides and apron featuring Classical laurel leaf, flower head and anthemion motifs. Note also the unusual brass sandled feet. Some marks to the fabric, otherwise excellent condition. The frame has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Reupholstery can be arranged by request.
