Victorian Silver and Amber Glass Scent Bottle by the Mousley Brothers , Birmingham 1899

Description

This unusual and charming silver and cut glass scent bottle was made by the prolific Mousley Brothers and is dated Birmingham 1899. The rich amber coloured body sliced-cut in rectangular patterns. The neck fitted with a fully hallmarked embossed hinged silver lid and fitted with the original glass

stopper.

Hallmarks:

MBROS for the Mousley Brothers.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Date letter "z" for 1899.

Lion passant.

Dimensions:

Height: 6 cm / 2.2 inches.

Width: 3cm / 1.2 inches.

Depth: 1.5cm / 0.4 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

No dings or dents, no holes to the lid.

Strong hinge.

Inner glass neck in perfect condition.

Glass stopper in perfect condition.
