Description

A beautiful and unusual pair of sky blue and magenta opaque glass vases with silver rims with hallmarks for London 1927, and maker’s mark fir David Loebl (Schindler & Co).

The vases were made in the Art Deco era, though with the more sinuous style of Art Nouveau. I consider them to be English made but that the magenta canes, which have been incorporated into the sky blue body, may have been imported from Murano, Italy. Whatever, the effect is stunning; the colours complement one another and the raised baluster base rising to a narrow stem is most pleasing and elegant.

Very pretty indeed. Excellent undamaged condition.
