This is a very high quality example of Georgian furniture. The body of the chair looks to be made from Elm and Alder wood. There is an unusual carving to the headrest which is a lovely detail. For me the design is ageless and will work well simply placed in the corner of a room but this could even make a wonderful desk chair. The seat has floral tapestry material which work with the chair but we can change this should you prefer. The seat holds weight but could benefit from a reband which again we can do for you. Overall condition though is very good with only very minor movement to one arm. The piece has a stunning patina and plenty of charm with the swooping arms and fretwork back.
