Antique English Walnut Jewelry Box - Original Interior C.1880

Description

A wonderful Victorian fall-front Jewellery box made from rich Walnut enhanced with the polished brass inset handle to the domed lid.

The interior has stood the test of time, remaining in superb condition and all original with the lid interior being tufted silk. There is a fitted compartment on the top including a central circular pocket watch holder in green velvet and either side a velvet ring compartment. Underneath is a silk lined drawer opened with the solid brass handle.

Dating to around 1880, it remains in excellent condition and measuring 8 3/4" wide x 6" deep x 5 1/2" tall while all closed up. Complete with working taselled key.
