Wingfield Rowbotham & Co Sheffield Bowie Knife, circa 1895
 
6,7/8'' or 17.75cm clipped back blade stamped WINGFIELD ROWBOTHAM & CO and SHEFFIELD ENGLAND at the forte,
 
white metal crossguard,
 
two-piece riveted natural stag antler grips,
 
contained in its original leather sheath with belt loop.
 
Wingfield Rowbotham & Co operated from 82 Tenter Street, Sheffield circa 1855.
 
The knife in very good condition, minimal sharpening
 
The sheath with wear and stitched mouth edge repair.
