Marble Top Gueridon Centre Table C.1860

19th century
Description

Mid 19th.c. French marble top centre table or gueridon c.1860. Original 38" diameter black marble top with a slightly raised edge designed to prevent spilt drinks from running off the sides. With a mahogany veneered apron and raised on a hexagonal baluster form pedestal and tripod base with matched flame mahogany veneers and scrolling acanthus carved detail. Raised on small carved claw feet with brass castors below. Excellent colour and condition with minor wear and repairs to the veneer. Cleaned and polished in our workshops.
