Mappin & Webb Canteen of Cutlery Serving Table

Description

A very good walnut and burr walnut canteen of cutlery from Mappin & Webb. The bow fronted serving / side table having a figured walnut top with carved gadrooned edge above the 2 large burr walnut drawers with brass pierced drop handles. The top drawer is accessible by lifting the top with a storage area for table clothes, table mats and condiments. The lower drawer opening to reveal a canteen of 135 pieces of silver-plated cutlery by Mapping & Webb of London. The whole raised on four cabriole legs with carved acanthus to the knees and terminating in claw and ball feet. The stiles having blind fret work and the condition is very good with one odd teaspoon.
