Carved Oak Grandfather Clock.

19th century
Description

Here I have a heavily carved grandfather clock with a musical movement working on 3 weights, has a very ornate brass face with chime/silent dial, it chimes on gongs, the works would benefit from a clean although we have had the clock working runs for a short time,(I've allowed for the cleaning in the price) .

As you will see in the pictures the case is very well carved and in great condition.

This is from a local house in the Scottish Borders where I am told it's been for the last 80 years.

The retail price for a clock of this quality and being musical is around the £4 to £5 thousand pounds sterling .

I would call it an exhibition quality clock of some importance.

I can arrange delivery at buyers' cost to anywhere in the world.

The no-haggling price of the clock is £2200 which I know is a good price for an outstanding quality clock like this.

I date the clock to around 1880/90, late Victorian

It stands an impressive 7 feet 10 inches tall.
