Description

These TWO COLOURFUL STAFFORDSHIRE HENS ON NESTS, each with two chicks, date from circa 1860.

They display very well and would look very appealing in any kitchen setting.

They are in overall good condition. There is a small, thin reglued surface chip to the back edge of one hen and a nick to the tip of her beak. The other hen has a hairline to her head. There is no restoration.

These HENS are particularly well painted with good feathering and colourful wings.
