Early 20th Century Oriental Carved Teak and Camphor Wood Chest

1920 - 1940
Description

An extremely good quality early 20th century oriental freestanding teak chest with deeply carved scenes to the front and top of pagodas, trees and people within a cherry blossom border with rounded corners carved with dragons. The chest stands on cabriole feet and retains its original embossed brass back plate and latch and comes with a lock and key. The interior has a removable tray and is lined with camphor wood which has a lovely aroma.
