Description

A sumptuous pair of Edwardian drop earrings in rich 15-carat gold, each set with 14 lustrous pearls and a majestic purple amethyst. Each earring is formed of three sections which tremble prettily as the wearer turns their head.

Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and as this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces, it is attractive to collectors.

In excellent antique condition.
