Georgian Sheraton Period Satinwood and Sycamore Console Table

Description

An Irish George III Sheraton period satinwood and sycamore veneered semi elliptical console table in the manner of William Moore of Dublin; the semi elliptical top with a central inlaid fan motif in boxwood on a sycamore ground from which extends alternating satinwood and sycamore segments with barber's pole stringing and crossbanded in harewood above a beautifully figured satinwood frieze strung in satinwood and boxwood with inlaid marquetry urns to the top of each leg; raised on elegant square tapering legs which are strung and line inlaid in boxwood. Of beautifully refined proportions and retaining an excellent colour and patination.
