Description

This 'tubreh' or small storage bag, depicts the symbolic 'dragon & phoenix' on the natural camel-ground, knotted-pile face, symbolising the fight between good and evil.

Made by Afshar nomads in Kerman Province, southern Persia during the first half of the twentieth century, the bag is in near-mint condition together with its red, plain-weave back.
