A stunning original antique French Rococo clock.
Panels backed with red fabric lighten the design. The pendulum can be seen gently swinging just above the polished base.
The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with finely fretted gilt brass hands. The bezel is glazed with convex glass and the clock is decorated in the round allowing you to display on a table or in front of a mirror.
The French movement is of high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.
Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with very slight wear and discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just some nibbles next to the winding holes. There is a slight chip to the edge of the glass
Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
